Pupil Development Grant \u2013 Access<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The scheme was extended in March 2021 to include the following year groups:<\/strong><\/p>\n Year 1, Year 5, Year 8, Year 9 and\u00a0Year 11of school in September 2020<\/p>\n \u00a3125 per eligible pupil<\/p>\n Powys staff will check all current free school meal awards to establish if each child is eligible for the grant payment.\u00a0 New free school meal applications will also be checked for grant eligibility.<\/p>\n Not every child receiving free school meals is eligible for the grant.<\/p>\n If your child is transferring to a school outside Powys, please apply to the authority that maintains the school.<\/p>\n If you think you may be eligible for Free School Meals, but are not currently claiming, please complete a\u00a0free school meal application form here<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n For further enquiries please call 01597827462 (please note we will not take bank details over the phone).<\/p>\n The fund will cover school uniform, other clothing worn at school such as sports kits, equipment for out-of-school-hours trips (including outdoor learning) and equipment for activities within the curriculum such as design and technology.<\/p>\n The scheme has recently been extended to include the purchase of IT equipment, laptop and tablet only, where the school is unable to loan equipment to the family.<\/p>\n This extension to the current scheme was announced on 5th<\/sup>\u00a0March 2021\u00a0and will run until the end of June 2021.<\/p>\n Only one grant per academic year can be awarded.<\/p>\n Pupil Development Grant – Access: Application Form<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n
