

{"id":4665,"date":"2020-03-20T13:02:31","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T13:02:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brohyddgen.cymru\/?p=4665"},"modified":"2020-03-20T13:02:31","modified_gmt":"2020-03-20T13:02:31","slug":"coronavirus-update-march-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brohyddgen.cymru\/index.php\/2020\/03\/20\/coronavirus-update-march-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus Update March 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>20 March 2020<\/p>\n<p>Dear Parents \/ Carers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Providing Care for Key Workers\u2019 Children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In line with Government and Local Education Authority guidance, Ysgol Bro Hyddgen will be open to <strong>Key<\/strong> <strong>Workers\u2019 children and Looked After Children ONLY<\/strong>, on Monday and Tuesday 23 &amp; 24 March. \u00a0Thereafter, the Local Authority will assign a limited number of centres, supported by schools\u2019 staff from across the authority.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For a definition of <strong>Key Workers<\/strong> see: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision\/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision\">https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision\/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you fall into the <strong>Key Worker<\/strong> category, and have a child who is <strong>NOT<\/strong> in the at risk category, and your child needs care, we kindly ask that you <strong><u>complete the Survey Monkey link on the school webpage<\/u><\/strong> at the earliest opportunity so that we can arrange for staff to look after your child\/children. Please also consider carefully the advice and guidance contained in the link above, and in particular:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>If it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The fewer children in school, the lower the risk of spreading the virus<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Parents should not rely for childcare upon those who are advised to be in the stringent social distancing category such as grandparents over the age of 70; friends, or family members with underlying conditions<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Parents should also do everything they can to ensure children are not mixing socially in a way which can continue to spread the virus. They should observe the same social distancing principles as adults<\/em><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In short, everyone needs to change their social habits<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Children Receiving Free School Meals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The school will provide a lunchbox for children who receive free school meals.
