Trip to the Basque Country<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The school has been awarded a ERASMUS+ grant to work with partners in other UNESCO sites such as the Dyfi Valley ni the Basque Country (Spain) and Mount Olympus (Patras, Greece). The school is working with industry experts (Center of alternative technology and Geo Smart Decisions) to develop teaching resources and a app to help data logging educational environmental data and to promote citizen science. As part of the grant we were able to fund 18 pupils from year 8 to visit the Basque Country to test and further develop the first version of the app we are developing with other schools. We are looking forward in visiting Mount Olympus in Greece in March to further develop the app and to try out the new teaching materials we have created with other schools.
