Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a worldwide threat to our ability to treat infectious diseases and undermines advances in health and medicine. At the 68th World Health Assembly (2015). The World Health Assembly endorsed \u201cThe Global Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance \u201c.<\/p>\n
The Plan aims to tackle AMR by:
\u2022 improving awareness and understanding of AMR
\u2022 strengthening knowledge through surveillance and research
\u2022 reducing the incidence of infection
\u2022 optimising the use of antimicrobial agents
\u2022 developing the economic case for sustainable investment<\/p>\n
