The PDG targets the following aspects specifically:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Whole School Approaches<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Family and Community Engagement<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Catch up and Tutoring<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Enrichment and Aspirations<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Wellbeing<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Total: \u00a351,750<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\">Activities which are in place to target raising standards and closing the poverty gap<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Literacy, Numeracy and well-being intervention and mentoring provision<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Support to ensure appropriate differentiation is put in place<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Tutoring sessions in KS4 which target high achievement in the core subjects, and where appropriate in other subjects<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Homework Club and Breakfast Club provision<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Support for educational visits where appropriate, and general support as appropriate<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Support to receive instrumental lessons from peripatetic teachers<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Learning materials and equipment including iPads, software and books<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Learning evenings with parents and pupils to ensure guidance for parents on how they may support their child to improve achievement standards<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Mentoring sessions where necessary with Learning Coaches to support pupils to develop and achieve working targets<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Tracking systems which measure the progress and effect of the intervention programmes that are in place<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ysgol Bro Hyddgen Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG) 2019-2020 The Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG) is used by the Welsh Government to provide financial support to schools.
